“Macchu Picchu of Sundaland” Mountain Megalitihic Padang Cianjur Indonesia
A megalithic remains
of a now-extinct mongoloid tribes that once occupied sundaland during the ice
age. A hill built into step pyramid with stones formation similar to those of
Macchu Picchu, Peru. The ruins of over 3 million columnar joints andesite was once
a large pyramid with substructures direction to Mount Gede, as an object of
worship of Megalith culture. Carbon dating by Beta Analytic of Miami, Florida
at an area between 3 and 12 meters suggests the structure could in fact date to
as old as 16,000 years ago. Ancient cement made from silica, iron ore and clay
were found in the structures. As the research and archeological works are still
ongoing, there will be more interesting facts uncovered from this 25 ha massive
site.
Located 20 km
from Cianjur City. You must go to by motorcycle or car. When you arrive, take
plenty stairs to get to the top of the mountain to see the spectacular view.
